In the Sukesh Chandrasekhar extortion case, Nora Fatehi sues Jacqueline Fernandez

Bollywood actors Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez have been in the headline after their names were appeared in Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.  In this case, the actresses have been questioned also by Enforcement Directorate (ED). However, according to reports, Nora has launch a defamation suit against Jacqueline and alleged that the latter had made "defamatory imputations for malicious purposes".

Defamation suit:

According to her plea, as reported by other portals, has mentioned that Jacqueline Fernandes tried to criminally defame the complainant in order to harm her career to pursue her own interests, since they are both working in the same field and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons. The defamation complaint against Jacqueline is filed in court over the latter's written pleading. She said that she was being wrongly implicated by the ED while celebrities like Nora Fatehi, who had also received gifts from conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, were made witnesses.

The Case:

The ED has interrogated Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi many times. Both actresses had taped their statements. Jacqueline Fernandez was also said to be dating the conman. Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Leena Maria Paul were detained by the ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act over an alleged extortion racket being run from Tihar Jail in Delhi.

Pinky Irani was arrested by Delhi Police on November 30 and brought before the concerned court. Her police detention was remanded for three days.

Nora Fatehi's work:

Nora is now a judge in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 with Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit. Apart from this, she  appeared with Sidharth Malhotra in the Thank God song Manike.
