Apparently, it isn’t only about working PR angles but also more or less social media pushes aimed at a rival, so yeah, the whole report has created fresh buzz—like real intense competition brewing behind the curtains in Bollywood.

This A-list actress has a huge film up for release. She has been trying every trick in the book to win back the love of the movie-going audience. Her comedy reality show appearance did not go as well as expected. People thought she was nervous & uncomfortable at the show. Her trailer has received an underwhelming response from fans on social media. As per a source, she has paid off social media trolls to attack the trailer of her arch-rival. We had earlier written about them paying off influencers to attack each other. Social media influencers close to the A-lister’s PR have been attacking the rival actress. They have written about the rival staying away from her family & criticized her acting in the trailer. Her acting has been labeled as overacting by the paid trolls. On the other hand, some influencers were caught copy-pasting captions that were supportive of the A-list actress.
Despite all the promotional appearances and carefully planned publicity, the buzz around the upcoming film doesn’t seem to be building the way the makers had hoped, at least not yet. Industry insiders believe the team expected a much stronger response from the trailer, but the online conversation has largely been crowded out by comparisons with another leading actress, instead of real excitement for the film itself.
What has raised even more eyebrows is the alleged PR battle, sort of playing out on social media. As per the blind item, influencers and anonymous accounts were reportedly used to criticize the rival actress while at the same time praising the A-lister with near-identical posts, making the whole campaign look much less organic than it should. If these claims are real, it once again underlines how intense Bollywood’s promotional wars have turned.
