In today’s digital age, which sees info travel faster than ever, a few journalists stand out for what they put out, which is a demand for transparency instead of just breaking stories. One such is Saurav Das, an investigative journalist and RTI activist from New Delhi. In 2026, he got widespread attention when he was appointed the Chief Spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which is a youth-based movement that puts forth student rights, exam reform, and government accountability.

Born into the world on 28 January 2000 in New Delhi, Saurav Das developed an interest in governance, journalism, and public policy during his time in college. While at the age of 18 most of his peers were focused on academics, Das began to file RTI applications.
