Abhishek Singh is an IAS officer who pursued his childhood dream of becoming a civil servant. His journey to achieving this goal was motivated by his father, who worked in the Uttar Pradesh police and shared stories about the responsibilities and power of an IAS officer. Abhishek faced emotional challenges in his personal life, experiencing heartbreak and going through a phase of depression. Regarding his education, Abhishek completed his schooling at Boy's High School in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Abhishek comes from a family of six members, including his parents, wife, and two younger sisters. His father served as a police officer in Uttar Pradesh, while his mother was a homemaker. His wife, Durga Shakti Nagpal, is also an IAS officer, known for her work in Delhi.
In an interesting turn of events, Abhishek's journey took an unexpected twist. During an official visit to Mumbai in late 2019, he had an opportunity to meet the team of the web series "Delhi Crime" during a lunch organized by a friend. They offered him a role to portray an IAS officer in the second season of the show. Although initially nervous, Abhishek's friend encouraged him to embrace the opportunity, reminding him of his own experiences as an IAS officer. This marked the beginning of Abhishek's acting career.
Since then, Abhishek has played various roles in different projects. His acting credits include the second season of "Delhi Crime," the Hindi song "Dil Tod Ke," the lead role in the Hindi short film "Chaar Pandrah," the Hindi song "Tujhe Bhoolna Toh Chaaha," and the screenplay of the song "Slow Slow." He also portrayed the lead role of Ravindra Kaushik, an Indian RAW agent, in the film "Black Tiger."
As for his IAS career, Abhishek currently holds the position of Deputy Commissioner in New Delhi. He cleared the UPSC exam in 2011 and initially joined as an IAS officer in Chhattisgarh. However, the Uttar Pradesh government later decided to transfer him to New Delhi.
In terms of salary, Abhishek receives a basic pay of 78,800 rupees as an IAS officer, along with various allowances provided by the Government of India, such as HRA, DA, and TA. After deducting contributions to schemes like NPS and CGEGIS, his net salary amounts to approximately 106,070 rupees. Abhishek's wife is Durga Shakti Nagpal, who happens to be his childhood friend. They supported each other during their preparation for the UPSC exam, with Durga successfully clearing the exam in 2011 and becoming an IAS officer. Their bond grew stronger, and they eventually fell in love after both achieving their shared dream of becoming IAS officers.
