Release Date of Ponniyin Selvan on OTT

Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 (PS-I) which is a historical drama, directed by Mani Ratnam, has been in theatres for a week, and even at this stage, tickets for the film are difficult to come across in some regions. Despite the strong demand for PS-I cinema tickets the film's digital launch is expected to take place next month.

Amazon Prime Video has OTT rights of PS-I and the film will be available for streaming commencing November 4, 2022 [Friday]. However, no official announcement has yet to be made.

Starring 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Trisha in the key roles, PS-I is set in the 10th century Chola era and has music by AR Rahman. The film follows two heir Chola princes as they cope with an internal plan to overthrow the throne and an external menace that poses to take their lives.
