A site called The Opinionated Indian recently posted a blind item. It points to a possible collaboration. The rumor names an A+ Bollywood superstar and a top South Indian director. The claim is that two big stars from two different film worlds would work together. But there may be trouble before any official news is shared. An unexpected clash behind the scenes is said to be causing delays.
Blind Item
This A+ list superstar’s high of a few successes have faded after his last release turned out to be a box office disaster – one of the biggest flops in cinema history. As per a source, he has been in talks with a top South Indian filmmaker to star in his next project. The project will star another South Indian superstar as well. The movie will be scripted by the filmmaker, but will be directed by someone else. The announcement has been delayed because of the disastrous performance of the star’s last release. What makes this news blind item worthy is that another jealous Bollywood A+ lister has been dissuading the filmmaker from working with him. This A+ lister has worked with the filmmaker previously.
It looks like the postponement has more behind it than ticket sales. The director is said to view the Bollywood star as a good fit. Part of that is the claim that he can do action and comedy at the same time. If that is true, the villain could feel less flat and more fun than the usual type. There is also talk that the actor is known for strict discipline and for movies that tend to work in markets. That mindset may be why the director is not easily swayed by outside chatter.
People are also pointing to older industry links. The second top actor has worked with the director before, at least in terms of being on the same screen. Some believe they get along well, so his take would naturally matter. It is hard to know if this is real work advice or just a clash of big names. Either way, the rumor about pushing for the casting has made the whole plan feel more attention grabbing.
Our Guess
