He already has a lot of name power and years of work, and he knows what it feels like to perform for a live crowd. A big hosting role might also keep him tied to the entertainment world, without relying only on big screen releases.
At the same time, the actress is said to be looking at chat shows. In that space, she can shape a new image through real talk with guests. The format often brings out personal stories and some odd pairings, which can make the show stand out and help her stand apart.
