From Amritsar to the Spotlight:- The Love Gill Story.
Punjab’s entertainment scene has no shortage of fresh faces, but few have carved out a niche quite like Love Gill. Born Lovepreet Kaur Gill in 1996 in Tarn Taran Sahib, a town near Amritsar steeped in Sikh history and rural charm, she’s become one of the more recognizable names bridging Punjabi music videos and the regional film and television circuit.

Standing at 5’5″, Love completed her graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar before chasing a passion that had followed her since childhood: acting. Like many small-town dreamers, she didn’t have an obvious “industry connection” to lean on — just persistence and a willingness to start small.
The Breakthrough Moment
Her big entry point came through music, not film. In 2019, she appeared in Karan Aujla’s track “Facts,” a song that gave her the visibility she needed to be noticed by directors and producers across Punjab’s tightly-knit creative circuit. From there, the offers started rolling in steadily rather than explosively — which, in an industry often driven by overnight virality, speaks to a slower, more deliberate kind of career-building.
Between 2020 and 2021 she featured in a string of music videos with artists like Bunty Jaja, Joban Dhandra, Jassi Khan, Harman Sandhu, and Vadda Grewal, among others. Each appearance added a layer to her on-screen presence, helping her transition from “the girl in that one song” to an actress people actively looked out for.
Stepping Into Television and Film.
The real shift happened when she landed the lead role of Zarina in Zee Punjabi’s television show Tu Patang Main Dor, sharing screen space with Kirpal Singh. Television offered her something music videos couldn’t: sustained character development and a weekly audience relationship. That same year, she also appeared in the short film Doonga Daria, stretching her range further.
In 2021, she took on the role of Sandy Sharma in the Punjabi film Kuriyan Jawan Bapu Pareshaan, acting alongside veteran comedian-actor Karamjit Anmol — a film that pushed her further into mainstream Punjabi cinema rather than just music-video cameos.
Life Beyond the Camera
Away from sets, Love Gill keeps things fairly grounded. She’s a self-professed admirer of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, and counts singer Gurnam Bhullar among her favorites in the Punjabi music scene. She unwinds through dancing and travelling, and has a soft spot for classic Punjabi food and the colors red and blue.
Her digital footprint reflects a steadily growing fan base she’s built a following of roughly 400,000 on Instagram, where she shares glimpses of shoots, travel, and everyday moments, giving fans a more personal window into her life beyond scripted roles.
What’s Next.
As 2026 unfolds, Love Gill’s trajectory looks like one of quiet, consistent growth rather than a single explosive breakout. From regional music videos to television leads to feature films, she’s steadily expanding her footprint in Punjabi entertainment — and if her pattern of picking varied roles continues, there’s likely more range still to come.
