Shah Rukh Khan, who is also referred to as King Khan” or the “Baadshah of Bollywood”, is a very influential name in the Indian film industry. Born November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, he grew up in a middle-class family. His father, Meer Taj Mohammed, is a businessman and his mother, Lateef Fatima, is the daughter of a senior government engineer. He attended St. Columba’s School and went on to get a degree in Economics from Hansraj College, Delhi University, which he followed up with a study of Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia.
Khan’s foray into the world of acting was on TV in the late 1980s, which later saw him on the big screen in 1992 with Deewana. As a newcomer to the film industry, he made a lasting impression on audiences as an anti-hero, like when people fell in love with his character in Baazigar (1993).
