In a recent interview with entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapoor discussed his observations of his late father, Rishi Kapoor, and how they influenced his own behaviour towards fans. Known for his patience and humility, Ranbir shared insights into the Kapoor family’s successes and failures. He explained, “Growing up in a family of actors, I’ve seen both triumphs and setbacks. I’ve observed why some family members failed and learned from their experiences from a very young age.”
Ranbir noted how Rishi Kapoor’s often rude interactions with fans seeking autographs or photos left a lasting impression on him. He recalled, “My father would sometimes bluntly refuse fans, saying he wasn’t interested. I saw the disappointment on their faces and decided I could never do that. I always make an effort to oblige anyone who asks for a picture or autograph.”
Reflecting on his own career, Ranbir, who debuted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya after assisting in Black, emphasised the importance of being approachable. He was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal.
Looking ahead, Ranbir is set to star in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana opposite Sai Pallavi. He will also reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love and War, featuring his Brahmastra and Sanju co-stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, Ranbir will appear in Animal Park, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
