Vishnupriya Ramchandran Pillai, who everyone knows as Vishnu Priya, was born and brought up in Bahrain. She completed her schooling at The Indian School in Bahrain and later got a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Birla Institute of Technology International Centre. Her introduction to the performing arts came early, and in school itself, she won the inter-school Bharata Natyam championship, which marked the start of her dance and entertainment journey.
Career Beginnings & Rise
Vishnu Priya began her journey in entertainment by joining the dance reality show Vodafone Thakadimi on Asiane, which is when her talent won over the public. In 2007, she broke into films with the release of the Malayalam movie Speed Track. Very soon, she was in lead roles in films like Keralotsavam 2009 and Penpattanam (2010), which in turn raised her popularity in the Malayalam film industry.
Film & Television Highlights
Her involved in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, as well as TV, she has put out there. In 201,1, she had her Tamil film premiere in Naanga. Also in that same time frame, she did several what which are to date very noteworthy, including Crime Story, God’s Own Country, Kadhantharam, and the Tamil thriller V1 (2019), which also saw her do very well.
Apart from films, Vishnu Priya has been very much into television entertainment. She took part in the AMMA stage show in 2013 and was also a contestant in Star Challenge on Flowers TV, which in turn did great for her audience connect.
Personal Life
In 2019, Vishnu Priya tied the knot with Vinay Vijayan. Though very much caught up in her career, she has been able to do well in terms of personal and professional front, and also is open to talking about the support she gets from her family.
Recent Projects &Appearance
Continuing to grow as an artist, Vishnu Priya stepped into Bigg Boss Telugu Season 8 in 2024 as the 12th contestant. That which saw also put her into the Telugu TV audience’s lap and also showed off her versatility beyond what was seen in films and dance.
