Dilip Vengsarkar was an Indian cricketer and administrator who saw out a great career as one of India’s best batsmen through the 1970s and 1980s. Born 6 April 1956 in Rajapur, Maharashtra, he grew to be known for his graceful style of play, in which the powerful drives and that cool demeanor of his at the wicket stood out. Also a fan favorite for his consistency, which he showed against what at the time were the best bowlers in the world.
Vengsarkar started his international cricket career in 1976 when he made his debut against New Zealand. In terms of his private life, he is married to Manali Vengsarkar, and they have 2 children. Also, according to recent reports, it is believed that he is worth around 40 crore, which is a result of his success in cricket, coaching, administrative work, and also from endorsements.
