M ahesh Babu is a warrior and producer of Tollywood movies which is followed by being a media personality as well as a philanthropist born on 9th August 1975. He is one of the most paid actors in the Indian movie industry and among the list of Forbes India Celebrity 100 since 2012. Popularly known in media as the “Superstar”, he has acted in over a quarter of a century a various films. He has several awards to his credit some of which include Nandi Awards – nine, Filmfare Awards for Telugu cinema – five, SIIMA Awards – four, CineMAA Awards – three and IIFA Utsavam Award – one. He also has his own production house registering under the name Mahesh Babu Entertainment.

The younger son of veteran Telugu actor Krishna the movie is Mahesh who entered in to the film field as a child artist in a cameo role in Needa at the age of four and done other films as a child artist eight. His first movie as the hero was Rajakumarudu (1999) which gave him Nandi Award to the Best Male debut. Mahesh‘s turning point was the supernatural drama Murari (2001) and the action movie Okkadu (2003), the first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu was given to Mahesh for his work in Okkadu. He was featured in other other box office hit films like Arjun (2004), Athadu (2005), Pokiri (2006), Dookudu (2011), Businessman (2012), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013), Srimanthudu (2015), Bharat Ane Nenu (2018), Maharshi (2019), Sarileru Neekevvar In Pokiri, Dookudu, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Srimanthudu, he gave sensational performances and won four more Film fare Awards for Best Actor – Telugu.

He ventured into the film exhibition in 2018 as the Managing Director, Asian Group to open the seven-screen multiplex, the AMB cinemas at Gachibowli. He is married to actress Namrata Shirodkar, the couple has two children.
