During her final year of undergraduate studies, Bhumika Bahl was placed in college and went on to work as a senior financial auditor at Ernst & Young (E&Y) in Gurgaon. Before quitting in 2017, she worked there for more than three years. When she was younger, she had always wanted to become a makeup artist. She left her position as a senior financial auditor at Ernst & Young to pursue a career in cosmetics artistry. She paid for her beautician training by saving money by enrolling in a year of spoken English sessions.
Later, she enrolled in a variety of cosmetics classes offered by her state and went to several workshops led by foreign makeup artists. She first started sharing videos of herself getting cosmetic makeovers on TikTok, where she rapidly amassed a sizable fan base. But after TikTok was blocked in India in June 2020, she started sharing videos on Instagram teaching people how to apply makeup. She quickly started hosting online courses and workshops on cosmetics. She planned to open her own online cosmetics school in Faridabad by 2023 and instruct both Indian and foreign pupils.
