How To Grow Capsicum At Home In India

The colourful, fresh, favourable capsicum that you all love is one of the easiest veggies to grow at home with minimal effort and care. But if you desire to grow them in a country like India, you need to know:

• The temperature should range between 18-30°C as capsicum favours germination in this temperature.

• Maintain a 12 to 15 inches gap between two neighbouring saplings.

• Pick a spot that receives four to five hours of direct sunlight in a day.

• Summer is the best season for capsicum plantation in north India while it can be grown all year round in South India. 

• Capsicum seeds start to germinate within 2 weeks of the plantation. Once the sapling grows around 10-15cm tall, replant them to a new spot.

        Note: Be sure, the new spot receives adequate sunlight.

• Dig a hole In the soil bed and plant the roots in the final spot. Fill in around the plant and sprinkle water regularly.
