The first Chinese immigrants to Kolkata arrived over 200 years ago and worked in tanneries producing leather goods. They resided in the Tangra area. While many of the Chinese residents of this region have moved to the West or returned to China, there are still some Indo-Chinese, Cantonese, and Sichuan restaurants serving a variety of delectable meals. Furthermore, as a result of Kolkatans' enthusiasm for Chinese food, countless Chinese restaurants have grown up in various parts of the city during the previous few decades.

We've rounded together some of the best Chinese restaurants in the city of pleasure, ranging from 90-year-old, hole-in-the-wall eateries founded by Chinese immigrants to fashionable, new bistros. All of these restaurants currently deliver throughout Kolkata. Orders can be placed directly on their websites or through partner delivery services.

1. Beijing Restaurant: Beijing is largely regarded as Kolkata's best Chinese restaurant. This simple café, located in the city's China Town (Tangra neighborhood), serves Indo-Chinese dishes in a minimalist environment. You will not be disappointed if you order their famous Peking Chicken with Hoisin Sauce, Spring Rolls, Chilli Garlic Noodles, Special Duck Roast, Chicken Dumplings, and Pepper Chilli Garlic Tofu.

2. Yauatcha: In September 2014, this stylish Cantonese dim sum restaurant opened in Kolkata's high-end Quest Mall. The all-day eating menu at Yauatcha Kolkata includes dim sums, wok meals, and contemporary European desserts. Truffle Edamame Dumplings, Crispy Duck Roll, Prawn Cheung Fun, Raspberry Delice, Duck Salad, Chocolate Macaron, and Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse are some of our favorite dishes from their broad menu.

3. Momo I Am: Momo I Am is everyone's go-to place for spicy Indo-Chinese and Tibetan fare in Kolkata, with many locations. The outlets of this vibrant cafe all have their signature graffiti walls and an open kitchen. Truffle Oil Crystal Dumplings, Water Chestnut and Chive Dumplings, Sichuan Noodle Bowl, Chilli Pork, Kung Pao Chicken, Xiao Long Bao (pork soup dumplings), and Spicy Seafood Soup are among the menu's specialties. Their Salt Lake location also sells alcoholic beverages.

4. Chinoiserie, Taj Bengal: This upscale eatery is known for serving authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine in a magnificent atmosphere. Peking Duck, Butter Chilli Garlic Prawns, Steamed Tofu with Ginger Soy Sauce, Spicy Sichuan Noodles, and Coconut Pancakes with Vanilla Ice Cream are among the specialties on their menu. We adore the fact that you can create your own dim sum menu here!

5. Flavours of China or Bar-B-Q: Flavours of China, a notable Chinese restaurant on Kolkata's famous Park Street, first opened its doors in 1960.
