Storyline

As an 18-year-old Rani Debroy pursued her dream of becoming a doctor at the center of the television series. When Rani Debroy gets pregnant outside of marriage her dreams are challenged by various social and familial barriers. Through the narrative, Rani maintains her dream of becoming a doctor while facing the social stigma of being both young and unwed with a child. The story follows Rani as she fights to achieve her dreams while opposing cultural restrictions despite being an unmarried mother.

In the early reception period, Tomader Rani received praise because of its innovative storytelling and paradigm-shifting subject matter.
