Later that night, Pazham finds himself inadvertently involved in a fight outside a food stall. Despite his attempts to steer clear of the altercation, he gets caught up in it. The police apprehend the entire group, and Pazham's father, Neelankandan (played by Prakash Raj), who is a senior inspector, slaps Pazham in front of everyone. This incident reveals that Neelankandan is Pazham's father. There is an underlying tension in their relationship due to past issues.

Throughout the film, Pazham's closest companion is Shobana (played by Nithya Menen), his childhood best friend who resides in the same building. They share a deep bond and confide in each other. Pazham opens up to Shobana about his feelings for Anusha, and Shobana, aware of their differing social statuses, advises him that Anusha may be out of his league. However, fate brings Pazham and Anusha together when she notices him at a petrol pump and asks for his phone number. Pazham shares this development with Shobana, who teases him by suggesting that Anusha is merely using him. Anusha even contacts Pazham to request food, and their relationship progresses. They share tender moments together, but when Pazham proposes to Anusha, she reveals that she was only flirting and that their worlds are too different. This heartbreak leaves Pazham shattered, and he resigns himself to his regular life.

Amidst these events, a series of kidnappings occur in the locality, with the police making no progress in solving the case. During a food delivery, Pazham accidentally discovers crucial information about the kidnappers' whereabouts and reports it to the police. However, the situation takes a dangerous turn when Pazham becomes caught in a gunfire incident. Filled with fear, Pazham retreats to the safety of his home, disheartened by not receiving recognition for his role in aiding the capture of the kidnappers.

The film further explores Pazham's strained relationship with his father. They engage in a heated argument, during which Pazham accuses his father of being responsible for the tragic accident that claimed the lives of his mother and sister. Through a flashback, it is revealed that Pazham's father was driving the car at the time of the accident, distracted by his phone. This revelation deepens Pazham's resentment towards his father.

Following their argument, Pazham learns that his father has been hospitalized due to paralysis. Overwhelmed with guilt and remorse, Pazham realizes the need to reconcile with his father and mend their broken relationship. He recognizes the importance of forgiveness and empathy, understanding that blaming his father only perpetuates their emotional distance.

During this period, Pazham encounters a girl named Ranjini, whom he mistakenly believes has romantic interest in him. However, he soon discovers that Ranjini's intentions were purely friendly. Disheartened once again, Pazham seeks solace in his grandfather's wise words and musters the courage to confess his love to Shobana. However, when he musters the courage to propose to her, Shobana asks him to forget that he ever proposed and advises him to give her space. She doesn't want their friendship to be jeopardized or become a rebound relationship for Pazham. Despite feeling heartbroken, Pazham respects Shobana's wishes.

Meanwhile, the threat to Pazham's father's life escalates as a vengeful kidnapper is released from jail and targets Neelankandan. Pazham becomes entangled in a life-and-death situation as he confronts the kidnapper in an attempt to save his father. In a moment of courage and determination, Pazham fights valiantly, reminiscent of his college days, and successfully overpowers the kidnapper, saving his father's life.

Following this harrowing experience, Pazham reflects on the true value of the relationships in his life. He realizes that he has been searching for love in the wrong places while overlooking the genuine love and care Shobana has always offered him. Regretting his past choices, Pazham decides to rectify his mistakes and win back Shobana's heart.

With Shobana having left for Canada due to a job opportunity, Pazham makes the bold decision to visit her. He embarks on a journey to Canada to confront his true feelings and reunite with the woman who has loved him since their school days. When Pazham finally meets Shobana in Canada, he expresses his heartfelt emotions and apologizes for his previous actions and assumptions. He confesses that he realizes now that she has been the one for him all along.

Moved by Pazham's sincere words and actions, Shobana forgives him and reciprocates his love. They embrace each other, realizing that their bond is much deeper than friendship. The film concludes with Pazham and Shobana's newfound love, signifying the triumph of true love, forgiveness, and the importance of cherishing the relationships that truly matter.

In the end, "Thiruchitrambalam" delivers a heartfelt message about recognizing the value of genuine love and friendship, learning from past mistakes, and finding the courage to express one's true emotions. The performances by the talented cast, the subtle storytelling, and the emotional depth of the characters make it a memorable romantic drama that resonates with the audience.
