Saif Ali Khan, who was lately seen in the film Vikram Vedha, has stated that he’d like to be cast in Mahabharata. Adding that this discussion has been continuing with Ajay Devgn since the 1999 film Kachche Dhaage, the actor said that he does not have a dream character, such a film would be a grand spectacle. In a recent interview, Saif said that he would like to appear in Mahabharata if it was made in the style of Lord of the Rings.
When asked about his dream role, Saif told Bollywood Bubble, “I don’t think like that. I just consider what I am offered. I don’t really have a dream topic. I don’t believe that type of thinking is productive. But what I’d really like to do is act in a Mahabharata epic, if someone makes it like Lord of the Rings. We’ve been talking about it with Ajay Devgn since Kachche Dhaage— it’s dream subject for our generation. We’ll combine the Bombay film industry with the South if feasible. Karana is more appealing to me, although there are many interesting characters.”
On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan was recently seen in the film Vikram Vedha, which also starred Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. The Pushkar-Gayathri-directed film is a remake of the same-named Tamil film released in 2017. R.Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had significant role in the 2017 film. While the picture is struggling at the box office, it has earned glowing reviews.
Apart from this, Saif will be featured in the Pan-India film Adipurush with Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, and Sunny Singh. Prabhas plays Lord Ram role, aiming his arrow towards the sky as lightning and thunderous waves smash into the shore. Saif Ali Khan, on the other side, plays Lankesh, the antagonist. Adipurush, touted as a film celebrating “the victory of good over evil,” is a retelling of the Hindu epic Ramayana. Om Raut, who directed Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is the film’s director.
