Ragini MMS 2 Movie Director, Actor, Cast and Crew
Ragini MMS 2 is a 2014 Indian erotic horror thriller film directed by Bhushan Patel and co-produced by Jayasinh Gupta and Sunil Maurya Pradhaan under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and ALT Excitement. This movie serves as a sequel to the 2011 horror film Ragini MMS. The film stars Sunny Leone and Saahil Prem in leading roles, continuing the narrative from the first installment. Unlike its predecessor, this movie is not shot in the found-footage style. It received an "A" certificate and achieved significant commercial success, establishing Sunny Leone as a mainstream actress.
Plot
The story picks up where the previous film left off. Ragini, who has been at the Thane Mental Asylum since the events of the first movie, continues to be haunted by the ghost from her past. Meanwhile, the MMS tape involving Ragini has gone viral, along with rumors about the haunted nature of the house where the video was shot. This piques the interest of a sleazy director named Rocks (Parvin Dabas), who decides to make a movie about the haunting. He casts former porn star Sunny Leone (played by herself) as the lead actress and plans to shoot the film in the same house where the original MMS was recorded.
Sunny, intrigued by the script, requests to meet the real Ragini (Kainaz Motivala) to gain a deeper understanding of her character. However, the meeting goes horribly wrong when Ragini violently slashes her own neck.
The cast and crew arrive at the haunted house to begin filming, and strange occurrences, especially affecting Sunny, begin to unfold. Meanwhile, Dr. Meera Dutta (Divya Dutta), a psychiatrist specializing in cases beyond the scope of science, takes on Ragini's case. After researching old newspaper clippings and watching video tapes of Ragini, Dr. Dutta uncovers the truth about the haunting.
She learns that the ghost haunting the house was once a married woman with two daughters and a son. The woman was deeply attached to her son, who was born after much difficulty. One day, while playing hide and seek, the boy accidentally fell into a well and drowned. Devastated, the mother embarked on a desperate quest to bring her son back from the dead. A man claiming to be a dark magician convinced her that the only way to revive her son was to sacrifice her daughters. In her madness, the mother agreed, and the magician beheaded the girls. He tricked her into believing the ritual would work while he stole her money and fled. The villagers, believing she was practicing witchcraft, hanged her from a tree, stoned her, and burned her alive. She survived the ordeal, but after cursing the villagers, she ended her life by stabbing herself in the neck with the rattle toy her son used to play with.
Dr. Dutta rushes to the shooting location to warn the cast and crew to abandon the shoot and leave the house immediately. However, it is too late, as the ghost has already possessed Sunny and started killing the film's cast and crew by luring them into sexual situations or catching them off guard. Only the scriptwriter Satya (Saahil Prem) and actress Monali (Sandhya Mridul) survive.
As Dr. Dutta, Monali, and Satya attempt to exorcise the ghost from Sunny, Monali is killed. Satya accidentally steps on the toy with which the ghost had previously killed herself, causing Sunny temporary pain and forcing the ghost to leave her body briefly. Dr. Dutta realizes the toy's importance and urges Satya to destroy it. Ultimately, the ghost is vanquished along with the toy. Sunny, Satya, and Dr. Dutta leave the house, having exorcised the ghost and solved the mystery behind the haunting. In the final scene, a rocking chair is shown moving on its own, and a child's voice is heard, implying that a ghost still remains in the house.
