RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram), directed by the master filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, one of the most tremendous action-packed blockbusters in Indian cinema. Following the spectacular success of earlier- Baahubali, Rajamouli is back with a similarly spectacular show this time, being an epic period drama set against the backdrop of India in its pre-independence era. The movie is a completely fictional account of two Indian freedom fighters-Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Ram Charan, and Komaram Bheem, played by Jr NTR -whose stories ironically become intertwined in a larger-than-life narrative. Much-anticipated release, the movie hit the theaters on 25 March 2022 and created huge publicity as its larger-than-life production goes with a stellar cast, including Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Bollywood's Alia Bhatt in a pivotal role. Backed by DVV Entertainments, RRR had a whopping budget of ₹450-500 crore, straight off which went to unveil the scale and grandeur of the movie.
Box Office Collection: Day-Wise Success
RRR clocked in with a massive response worldwide and broke records on its first day. The film's India Nett Collection on Day 1 alone stood at ₹126.38 crore, while its Worldwide Collection surged to an incredible ₹223 crore. Extraordinary Visual Effects, Power-packed performances and Rajamouli's Direction attract audiences in big numbers.

By the conclusion of Week 1, RRR had gathered ₹480. 65 crore in India and ₹710 crore worldwide, which turned out to be an enormous barometer for Indian cinema.
The movie kept going full steam in Week 2 as well, and it raked in ₹200.10 crore (India) and ₹274.85 crore (Worldwide). It continued to hold up in its third week too, adding on ₹62.50 crore (India) and ₹88.50 crore (Worldwide), which would sum up to ₹1095 crore worldwide at the end of Week 3.
Telugu Box Office Performance
More importantly, the film reached out to the Telugu audience, as it was, in fact, an original Telugu film and later on titled in various other languages. On its opening day, *RRR*'s Telugu Nett Collection was ₹83.03 crore; at the end of Week 1, the collection had already been ₹256.30 crore. By the third week, the movie had collected ₹363.74 crore only in Telugu and garnered that much toward its overall collection.
Global Collection and Success Separated in Language-Wise
It was a big success where RRR had collected humongous amounts in the Hindi-speaking belts, collecting ₹253.84 crore in Hindi. It also saw good numbers from other regional markets, which includes Tamil for ₹60.92 crore, Kannada for ₹60.25 crore, and Malayalam for ₹18.90 crore.
It has mopped up ₹195 crore abroad, taking the worldwide gross to ₹1095 crore. Having crossed over 10,000 screen count in India and elsewhere, RRR stood out as one of the widest releases of any Indian film.
Verdict: Monumental Success
RRR was unstoppable on the ticket counter crossing ₹900 crore mark in India, only with the mammoth scale, superbly scintillating performances and above all perfection on Rajamouli's directions. This fictional approach to storytelling of historical themes hits directly in the heart of all and thereby goes into cinematic history.
