The death of Heena Rehman brings to light the existence of a mole within R&AW. The investigation into the identity and motivations of the mole intensifies, leading to more dramatic twists and turns.

Why and How Did Heena Die?

Heena Rehman, codenamed Octopus, attended a party hosted by Brigadier Mirza. During the event, Mirza receives a phone call and reveals that he knows Heena's perfume is poisonous. He stabs Octopus in the neck with a fork. This brutal act signifies her tragic demise.

In the final scenes of the movie, Ravi discovers a hidden camera at his house and escapes to the USA with his mother and Kunal, leaving his wife Charu heartbroken. Krishna pursues Ravi to the USA, determined to find him. She forms an alliance with Ravi to assassinate Mirza this time. In exchange for his cooperation, she promises Ravi his freedom.

Krishna's plan is to poison Mirza's lamb curry during a dinner meeting, making his death appear accidental. However, when Mirza suspects foul play and no one consumes the curry, he slits Ravi's mother's throat, causing chaos in the house. In the ensuing chaos, Ravi injures Mirza by slamming his head against the wall. Krishna then devises a plan to allow Mirza to bleed to death.

Did KM Open Up to Her Son?

In the final moments of the movie, Krishna contemplates revealing her true identity and personal life to her son. She considers confessing that she works as a spy and that her divorce resulted from her sexuality. The film hints at a sense of reconciliation when she calls her son on his birthday.

Is "Khufiya" Based on a True Story?

"Khufiya" draws inspiration from Amar Bhushan's book "Escape to Nowhere." Bhushan, a former head of counterespionage at India's foreign intelligence agency, served for twenty-four years and crafted the story based on a real-life incident. The movie includes dramatized elements and character alterations, but it is rooted in actual events, specifically an incident where a CIA mole lured an R&AW operative.

While "Khufiya" is a work of fiction, it is influenced by real-life espionage events and portrays a gripping narrative with elements of truth and intrigue.
