Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 22
Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection on Day 22: Prabhas’ Film Approaches Rs 600 Crore Milestone :
As of its 22nd day in theaters, "Kalki 2898 AD," starring Prabhas, is making headlines with its impressive box office performance. Released on June 27, the film has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. On day 22, it added Rs 2.27 crore to its collection, bringing the domestic nett total to Rs 599.2 crore, according to Sacnilk. While the film had a strong run with Rs 7.2 crore on Wednesday, ticket sales saw a notable drop on Thursday.
Since its release, "Kalki 2898 AD" has faced little competition from other major films across various regions. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The lack of impact from Akshay Kumar's "Sarfira" and Kamal Haasan's "Indian 2" has helped "Kalki 2898 AD" maintain its leading position.
With its theatrical run nearing its end, "Kalki 2898 AD" is expected to face competition from Vicky Kaushal’s "Bad Newz." However, this week, no major Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam releases pose a significant threat to its dominance. According to Ormax Media’s half-yearly report, "Kalki 2898 AD" has grossed Rs 772 crore in India, accounting for 15 percent of the year’s total box office revenue.
While "Kalki 2898 AD" holds the title of the biggest film of 2024, it has yet to surpass the 2023 hit, "Jawan," which earned Rs 640.25 crore domestically. To break this record, "Kalki 2898 AD" needs to earn at least Rs 40 crore more in the coming weeks. The film has already surpassed "Pathaan," "Gadar 2," and "Animal," trailing only behind "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion," "KGF: Chapter 2," and "RRR."
