Synopsis:

Kaala focuses on the existence of Nellai / Tirunelveli based Tamils who inhabit in a substantial number in Mumbai. Union minister Haridev, known as “Hari Dhadha” Abhayankar, formerly a thug who had executed numerous assaults in Dharavi, attempts to remove the inhabitants and claim their territory. Kaala, the leader of Dharavi resists to protect the area and his group. Hari Dhadha’s failed attempts to remove Kaala in order to seize control over the territory result in the death of Kaala’s partner and older son instead. To retaliate against him and defend the residents of Dharavi, Kaala decides to challenge him.
