Have you watched this series? Amazon Prime has a lot of women-centric content and it has been promoting it for a while now. Hush Hush has a decent idea of promoting feminism but like most of the thrillers it fails to leave an impact on the audience by the end of the season. Don’t you think so?
At the beginning, the story feels all fresh but when you reach the mid, you will realise that it is no different from any other thriller. Today, let us talk about the ending of the series and see if there will be a season 2. Excited?!
The story shows four friends, Ishi, PR Consultant, Saiba, former journalist, Dolly, with a family business in diamond and Zaira, fashion desginer. They are close friends but all of them know very little about ishi as she handles her personal affairs in secracy and doesn’t share much.
Ishi’s story begun when she used to stay in a shelter and she had Meera with her and they were so close that they became like sisters. They both used to wait for couples to adopt them and one day a couple came to adopt Ishi but she asked Meera to go instead of her. Things changed when Ishi became a big shot. Meera’s son got sick and without knowing she took help from Ishi. She introduced her to Vinayak who lent Meera the place, and an orphanage named “Moksha” was opened there.
Five years later, Ishi faced some difficulties in her professional life and decided to leave the country. She then met Meera and got to know about the ongoing girl trafficking racket operating at Moksha. Ishi doesn’t know about all this. Meera then revealed that the family which took her used to abuse her physically regularly and she blamed Ishi for it as she asked her to go with them but Ishi did all of it out of goodwill. She wanted to sort everything out and called Vinayak.
Ishi then asked Vinayak to stop the trafficking and she would pay him in return but he refused. Zaira saw all of this and got to know that Vinayak is going to kill Ishi. In between all of this, Dolly accidently kills Vinayak and the women dump his body. What is surprising is that the next da Ishi commits suicide.
But, at the end of “Hush Hush” Season 1, we see CBI Inspector Shantanu (Jaaved Jaaferi) taking over the case, and he has the clip with him. We also see a woman’s body being discovered. We had seen this woman earlier in the series. She used to work in a saloon nearby and was Geeta’s lover.
There is no closure to the season one and we can say that there must be a season 2.
