Fact Check: Why Madhuri Dixit Stopped Working With Anil Kapoor

Madhuri Dixit is one of Bollywood's most well-known actresses. After making her cinematic debut in 1984 with Abodh, she went on to star in a number of other films. Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Anil Kapoor were among her most frequent co-stars, with whom she was reportedly rumoured to be involved.

There were rumours that Madhuri and Anil were having an affair. There was one incident, though, that caused Madhuri to discontinue working with Anil. Sunita Kapoor, Anil's wife, reportedly visited one of their film sites with her children, according to IBTimes. Madhuri is said to have kept her distance from Anil after observing him connect with his family, in order to keep the rumour mills from pouring further gasoline to the fire. She then stated in an interview that she would never do something that would harm Anil's family.

Madhuri was also once asked if she wanted to marry Anil, to which she replied, "No!" Someone like him is not someone I would marry. For one thing, he is overly sensitive, and I prefer my husband to be calm. I'm comfortable with Anil because I've worked with him on so many films. I can even make light of our alleged affair with him." While Anil and Madhuri had not shared screen time in a long time, they reunited in 2019 for the film Total Dhamaal.
