After 29 years of marriage, AR Rahman has announced the news of his divorce with his wife Saira Banu, surprising his fans. While there has been a lot of speculation, this will be clarified by their divorce lawyer, who hinted at the possibility for reconciliation.

The lawyer of AR Rahman and Saira Banu, Vandana Shah, focused on the divorce proceedings in an interview on Vicky Lalwani's YouTube channel. She added that the custody issues related to the children still required negotiation.

When asked about alimony, Vandana made it clear that Saira Banu was not a "money-minded" woman and had been leading a low-profile life ever since her marriage with the celebrated composer.
