What Kruti Mahesh Had To Say About Choreographing Alia Bhatt For Dholida Song In Gangubai?

 Gangubai Kathiawadi was among the biggest hits of this year. Alia Bhatt, the lead actress was appreciated worldwide for her excellent acting skills in the movie and most importantly for the enthusiastic performances in the songs. The movie’s song ‘Dholida’ performed by Alia Bhatt was one of the most enthusiastic songs and was choreographed by the choreographer, Kruti Mahesh, the same mind behind the popular hits, ‘Ghoomar’ and ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’ in ‘Padmavat’ and ‘Garmi’ in ‘Street Dancer’.

Kruti shared her experience of creating the magic on-screen. She mentioned that it was a divine experience creating the song. Having grown up watching Sanjay sir’s films, the songs have always attracted her. It has been a blessing for her to have choreographed an entire Sanjay Leela Bhansali film apart from choreographing Padmavat. She added that she learns from him every time she gets to work with him.

She also added that the first thing that the director added was that it should be choreographed in a way that it should look authentic and should throw light on Gangu's boldness and madness. She is happy about how the song has come out because the daze that they saw on-screen through Alia, was not just her, but a team effort and the presence of something completely divine.

Sharing her expertise in working with Alia Bhatt, she said, “Alia is a wonderful person. My team, along with the dancers, and crew members, have truly brought together what I can proudly call a masterpiece." She also thanked the steady camera operator, who captured the last shot extremely well.
