The homicide investigators decipher the murders and hunt down the serial killer to bring him to justice in this short docu-series. It has creepy photography, disturbing historical material, upsettingly gory crime scenes, and detailed recounts of their experiences with Ramirez.

  2. Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes(2019) - If you want to gain some insight into the mind of a horrifying criminal and decode his killings, Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes is great for a weekend binge.

Theodore Robert Bundy, an American serial murderer who murdered, kidnapped, and raped several young women in the 1970s, was born in 1946. Bundy denied his crimes for more than a decade before confessing to 30 killings committed over several years in the early 1970s.

Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes includes Bundy's renowned bloodcurdling interviews as well as unusual video and audio recordings from the archives, all of which were filmed while he was on death row.

Despite the heinous nature of his crimes, Bundy had become a celebrity and was sensationalized as a result of his pleasant appearance and witty contacts with the court and the media, particularly after his 1977 escape from custody in Colorado, US. His true crime case and subsequent fame spawned a slew of compelling true crime documentaries and films.

  3. Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes(2021) - The Netflix documentary film from the directors of Don't F**k With Cats is another disturbing addition to the collection of true crime documentaries. The Nilsen Tapes, titled Memories of a Murderer, is a chilling compilation of audio recordings recounted by the guy himself from his jail cell. Dennis Nilsen, one of Britain's most notorious serial killers and a former police officer, recounts his life narrative and all the specifics of his heinous crimes against men in audio records.

Plumbers uncovered grisly remains of human bodies he had disposed of through the drain of his London flat in 1983, and Nilsen was arrested. Before he was apprehended, the cold-blooded killer had slain over 15 men and boys.

  4. The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness(2021) - The Sons Of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness, a compelling four-part docuseries, is another addition to Netflix's remarkable true crime-themed repertoire.

The true crime series delves inside the mind of investigative journalist Maury Terry, who believed that serial killer David Berkowitz had collaborators in the 'Son of Sam' case's six killings and seven attempted murders. Furthermore, he suspected the murders were tied to a demonic group.

The terrifying atrocities occurred in the 1970s in New York's Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Berkowitz, known as the 'point 45-caliber murderer' because of the revolver gun he used to kill his seemingly random victims, was apprehended in 1977 after terrorizing New York for nearly a year.

The series follows the timeline of Berkowitz's heinous acts and the journalist Terry's compulsive quest to show the presence of probable accomplices who may have gotten away with committing further killings.
