Ekta Kapoor is facing some legal trouble; Supreme Court censure producer for 'polluting minds of Indian youth’
It seems like a great trouble for Ekta Kapoor--a television producer, film producer, and director who works primarily in Hindi cinema and daily soap, are near to an end. She is popularly known to have launched daily soap like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kohi Apna Sa, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kalash, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kahiin To Hoga and Kasamh Se to and many more. For the unschooled, she is the joint managing director and creative head of Balaji Telefilms Limited.
In friday, the apex Court of India accused producer Ekta Kapoor against her "offensive content" in her web series XXX, saying that she was polluting the minds of the forthcoming generation of our country as reported by news agency Press Trust of India.

The Supreme Court of India, as reported by PTI, was hearing a appeal filed by Kapoor challenged the arrest warrants issued against her for ostensibly insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of them along with their families in the web series aired on her OTT platform ALTBalaji.
"Something needs to be done. You are polluting the minds of our upcoming generation of our country. It is available to all. OTT content is available for everyone. What kind of series are you providing to the youths?....you are polluting the minds of our upcoming generation" a forum of Justices Ajay Rastogi and C T Ravikumar said, as reported by news agency PTI.
In the court, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi was standing for Kapoor. According to the observation made by the court, Rohatgi submitted that a petition has been filed before the Patna high court but it's next to impossible that the matter will be listed for hearing soon according to the news agency report.
Supreme Court stated that :This Court is not for those who have voices but for those who don’t
PTI reported, that Rohatgi, in the Court said that The content is subscription-based and that there is freedom of choice in this country.
Wondering what kind of choices is being given to the people, the tribunal observed that Everytime you travel to this court...they don't appreciate that. They will put a cost on you for filing such kind of petition. Mr Rohatgi please pass this to your client. Just because your client can afford and hire the services of good lawyers....this court is not for those who have their voices.
This court works for those kind of people who don't have their voices...if these people who have every kind of facilities, if they cannot get fairness then think of the situation of the common people's. We have seen the order and we have our reservations observed by the tribunal
As of now, the Supreme Court has kept the matter unresolved and the next date of hearing will be soon.
About the Case
Deep diving into the details of the case, PTI reported that a trial court in Bihar's Begusarai had filled the warrant on a complaint firm by Shambhu Kumar, an ex-serviceman. Kumar, in his complaint of 2020, acussed series XXX (Season-2) was filled with offensive scenes related to a soldier's wife, PTI reported.
