One of the longest-running reality TV series in India is Kaun Banega Crorepati. But when one learns the outrageous price the celebrity has been demanding from its debut season, they will be shocked. Amitabh Bachchan, the host, reportedly demanded Rs 25 lakh every show.

Amitabh Bachchan's season 2 and season 4 fees are still unknown. He did not serve as the season 3 host of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan reportedly charged Rs 1 lakh for each episode. He allegedly demanded between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 2 crore for KBC seasons 6 and 7. According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan, the host, charged Rs 2 crore for season 8 and Rs 2.6 crore for season 9 every episode.

For seasons 10, 11, 12, and 13, the Jhund actor is said to have demanded Rs 3 crore every episode. For seasons 11, 12, and 13, he is said to have charged Rs 3.5 crore per episode.

The prize pool for the programme was Rs 1 crore in the first season and Rs 2 crore in the 2nd and 3rd seasons. The prize money for Kaun Banega Crorepati season four was decreased by Rs. 1 crore. The prize money for Kaun Banega Crorepati season 7 was upped to Rs 7 crore. The prize pool for KBC's current season has been raised to Rs 7.5 crore.
