Popularly known in both Tamil nadu and  Telugu movie worlds, Trisha Krishan is a very distinguished actress with numerous prestigious industry awards. This lady became prominent in Tamil cinema as she played leading roles in Saamy and Ghilli while in Telugu industry she starred in Varsham. She was brought up by Krishnan and Uma Krishnan at Palakkad and has graduated from Ethiraj College, Chennai as a student belonging to Iyer Community in Tamil Nadu.

After that, she worked as a model and got the Miss Salem crown in 1999, the Miss Chennai crown in 1999, and the Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile crown in 2001. She began her career as a model showing up in many TV ads such as those for Fair and Lovely and Josco Jewellers. She also played a part in Falguni Pathak's music album Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaye. Trisha Krishnan first showed up in movies when she had a small role in the film Jodi. But the first movie where she agreed to play the main female character was Priyadarshan's Leysa Leysa. Still, she fit well in her role opposite Surya in Mounam Pesiyadhe and got good reviews. The next big film she joined, which came right after, was Ghilli with Vijay, a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Okkadu. In 2004, she starred in Varsham in Telugu, which became the year's biggest hit and made her famous overnight.
