
John Felix Anthony Cena Jr. is a professional wrestler, actor, and rapper, more commonly known as John Cena. He was born on April 23, 1977, in West Newbury, Massachusetts, USA. Cena was an athlete from an early age and attended Cushing Academy and later graduated from Springfield College with a degree in exercise physiology, and also earned an NCAA Division III All-American distinction in football.

Cena started his career in wrestling in 1999 with Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW), where he became the UPW Heavyweight Champion. He signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) where he made his SmackDown! Debut on July 27, 2002, receiving a big break when the company handed him a full-time contract. He had the charisma, classic catch phrases, and dedication to developing into one of the WWE’s biggest and most popular stars. He was a multi-time world champion and main-evented some of the biggest and most important WWE Events, including WrestleMania.
Outside of wrestling, Cena has also had a successful career in Hollywood. Cena debuted in a film in 2006 with The Marine and has appeared in films including 12 Rounds, Bumblebee and The Wall. He has also done voice work in animated films like Surf’s Up 2 and The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle.
With an overall impressive career of more than two decades, John has received a slew of awards, including several Slammy Awards for “Match of the Year” and “Game Changer of the Year.” Cena is also noted for granting over 650 wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation; he’s one of the most requested of all time.
