Deepinder Goyal: The Zomato Visionary

Deepinder Goyal is a celebrated Indian entrepreneur and investor, renowned best as the co-founder, CEO, and managing director of Zomato, a prominent Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery business.

Early Life and Education
Deepinder was born on January 26, 1983, in Muktsar, Punjab, India. He earned an M.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi in 2005.

Career
Goyal joined Bain and Company as a consultant upon graduation in IIT Delhi. He worked with Bain from January 2006 as a senior associate consultant. Goyal and his colleague Pankaj came up with the idea for Zomato during their days at Bain. Goyal's first project, an online food ordering platform for employees of Bain, was successful. This motivated him to start Zomato in early 2008. 

Zomato and Expansion.
Zomato has grown worldwide under Goyal's guidance, covering about 22 countries and providing in-depth restaurant information, menu items, prices, and ratings. Zomato has increased its international presence by strategic acquisitions such as Gastronauci in Poland, Cibando in Italy, and Blinkit (previously Grofers) in India.
