Top 10 Adult Movies Of Bollywood Till 2022

In the media, adult content in Bollywood films is frequently a contentious issue. When I speak of adult Hindi films, I'm referring to films that are made for adults. In comparison to Hollywood, Indian films are averse to showing affection or making love. However, Bollywood filmmakers have recently been more daring in their filmmaking technique, and kissing and sometimes lovemaking sequences are now very regular. There is no longer any secrecy surrounding these scenes, and films containing them are frequently given a U/A certificate rather than an A.

The Censor Board frequently examines 'A' approved Bollywood films. Recently, there have been several instances where the CBFC has altered sequences and words from films because they were deemed unsuitable. Despite the controversies and pressure from the CBFC, a large number of Adult Bollywood Films have been created with totally 'A' certified content or with certain phrases and scenes in the film.

Kamasutra: A Tale of Love (1996)

A list of anything even even close to A-rated films would be incomplete without mentioning the 1996 Indian picture about historical romance. Although the film is not technically a Bollywood production, it is widely regarded as India's first foray into this genre. Mira Nair directed the picture, which stars Indira Varma, Rekha, and Naveen Andrews among others. The film is based on the Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian scripture.

Mera Naam Joker (1970)

Mera Naam Joker isn't entirely suitable for audiences aged 18 and up. Mera Naam Joker is a pure entertainer directed by Raj Kapoor, who also plays the eponymous character in the film. It does, however, have a nudist scene starring Simi Garewal. The storey revolves around Raju, played by Raj Kapoor, and his road to being one of the most popular clowns, as well as his romantic failure.

Utsav (1984)

Utsav, directed by Girish Karnad, was the first sensuous film in Bollywood. Despite the lack of scenes, Utsav was given a "A" rating because it was a daring picture in the 1980s. Rekha portrayed the lead, with Shekhar Suman, Shashi Kapoor, Neena Gupta, and others playing supporting roles.

Siddhartha (1972)

Siddhartha, on the other hand, is neither a Bollywood nor a Hindi film. This 1972 American picture, on the other hand, included a whole Bollywood star cast. The film, directed by Conrad Rooks, follows the narrative of a young man named Siddhartha, played by Shashi Kapoor, who sets off on a quest to discover the meaning of life. The film is based on the same-named novel by Herman Hesse and includes some scenes starring Shashi Kapoor and Simi Garewal.

Rekha, Om Puri, Navin Nischol, and Daisy play major parts in Aastha: In the Prison of Spring, a 1997 Bollywood film. The film, directed by Basu Bhattacharya, depicts the storey of a married woman, played by Rekha, who turns to prostitution to supplement her husband's income.

The film is an adaptation of the Polish film A Short Film About Love, directed by Shashilal K. Nair.

Jism (2003)

Jism is John Abraham's first film, and the first in which he appears alongside Bipasha Basu. The film lives up to its moniker, as it is one of Bollywood's first A-rated thrillers, ushering in a new era for the genre. The film, directed by Amit Saxena, portrays the storey of an alcoholic lawyer who is lured into a murder plot by a sensuous woman. Body Heat, a 1981 Hollywood film, is remade in Jism.

Murder (2004)

Vishesh Films noticed the desire for thrillers in Bollywood after Jism. Murder, a 2004 thriller, was their next foray into the genre. Anurag Basu directed the film, which is an unauthorised version of the Richard Gere and Diane Lane starrer Unfaithful. The film launched Emraan Hashmi's career, and it was one of his first films, earning him the moniker "Serial Kisser."

Julie (2004)

Julie is a 2004 Hindi thriller film in which former Miss India Neha Dhupia plays the title character. Girlfriend (2004)

Although Fire was the first Indian film to show a lesbian relationship, the 2004 thriller Girlfriend takes a forceful stance on homosexuality, which is not only controversial but also illegal in India. The plot of the film, directed by Karan Razdan, centres around a love triangle between the three major characters, Isha Koppikar, Amrita Arora, and Aashish Chaudhary. A sensual lovemaking scene between the two lead actresses is also featured in the film.

A-rated films are not popular in Bollywood. That's why a Bollywood film with a few kissing scenes is deemed adult and not suitable for all audiences.
