Imran Khan Admitted That He Used To Take Steroids To Look More Muscular!!!
Imran Khan recently shared his thoughts on the growing pressure for male actors to maintain a certain masculine image, especially with the rise of superhero films in both Hollywood and Bollywood. He acknowledged that while women have long been expected to maintain a youthful and attractive appearance, this pressure has increasingly impacted men over the past decade.
During an interview on the YouTube channel We Are Yuvaa, Imran discussed how the expectation for men to look muscular and fit has intensified, particularly with the influence of actors like Hrithik Roshan and the popularity of superhero characters. Reflecting on this, he said, "In the last 10 to 20 years, this pressure has also started affecting men. With the rise of the superhero genre and icons like Hrithik, Salman Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, there’s this constant push to achieve that hyper-masculine physique. Social media has only amplified it."
Imran went on to reveal that he had used steroids in an attempt to conform to these standards. "I tried to fit that mold, but I’m not built like Captain America or Thor. I did everything I could, including using steroids, but it’s just not sustainable," he admitted.
Imran stepped away from the film industry following the failure of his movie Katti Batti, which co-starred Kangana Ranaut. In a conversation with Film Companion, he explained that his decision to leave acting stemmed from feeling disconnected from his true self, saying, "Being an actor was never a necessity for me. I realized that fixing my own issues was far more important than trying to maintain a career that didn’t align with who I am."
