Sanjay Leela Bhansali Announces His First Original Music Album 'Sukoon'

 
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most versatile and successful filmmakers and music composers of Bollywood. On Tuesday, he announced his first original music album which is going to be released on December 7 on all the music streaming platforms. 
This year he directed 'Gangubai Kathiawadi ' which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role. He has composed all the amazing six tracks of the movie. Bhansali turned music composers on his film projects with the 2010 movie Guzaarish.
He has incorporated various kinds of musical instruments including guitar, tabla, sitar, flute, and harmonium into the soundtracks which he has composed.

 

This music album also marks the first attempt of Sanjay Leela Bhansali at composing an original, non-film project.
This new album comprises nine different songs sung by various versatile artists like Rashid Khan, Armaan Malik, Shreya Ghosal, Papon, Pratibha Baghel, Sahil Hada, and Madhubanti Bagchi.
This soulful album translates to peace. He started this music album during the difficult times of covid and took two years to complete this project.
The managing director of the music label Saregama India said that “if perfection had a face, then it must be Sanja Leela Bhansali”. He further stated that ‘Sukoon’ is a collection of 9 pieces of art, in collaboration with the best singers from the music industry.

 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had completed 25 years in the industry. He was in London over the weekend, where he was speaking about his recently successful film ‘Gangubai Kathiyawadi’ at the BAFTA Masterclass, as part of an awards campaign which was for the British film Awards Trophy.
In 2018, he got Filmfare Award for Best Music Direction for his amazing composition in the movie Padmavat. Currently, he is working on his Netflix series, which is a period drama titled ‘Heeramandi’.
