Ranveer Singh has successfully become a global icon of India as he has been now representing our country to the West for many years now through his extraordinary performances in films and doing massive global brand associations. And in the new global campaign from Ranveer we saw him collaborating with the iconic Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.
Ranveer is currently headlining the Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto’s ‘Y-3’ campaign. Before Ranveer, only the French football legend Zinedine Zidane has lead in the Y-3 campaign. That itself speaks the importance about the global interests and valuation that Ranveer is currently commanding.
This campaign focused at spotlighting Ranveer as the representative face of Y-3. Set is placed in a backdrop showing futuristic India. It has been shot by Rid Burman, along with creative direction from Leo Burnett India. This visually strong campaign draws full attention on Ranveer’s distinctive charm, buoyant energy, and complicated persona which offers a fresh interpretation of Y-3’s past, present, and future. The choreography of this campaign is done by choreographer Terrence Lewis.
The campaign celebrates Ranveer Singh artistically as he reinterprets the notion of sporting movement. A revolutionary ode to Y-3’s inherent DNA, by giving focus on some individual moments. This series with some expressive visuals really show the middle ground between dance and sport.
Speaking about this campaign, Ranveer Singh said, “It is an incredible honor for me to be a part of Y-3’s iconic legacy. This collaboration challenges the mainstream perception of sporting movement – its fluid. It feels great to be able to glimpse into the future and bring it to life with a metamorphic Indian touch”.
Currently, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, which is releasing on December 23 alongside Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. He will be also seen in Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film is all set for a 2023 release.
