• Non Bailable Warrant
In 2013, she started her career as a film producer with the Hindi movie ‘Ishkq in Paris.’ Nevertheless, the movie was a failure after which she encountered significant financial setbacks. Abbas Tyrewala, the dialogue creator of the movie filed a complaint against her as his payment draft of Rs 18.9 lakh was dishonored. Subsequently, she did not appear in the courtroom after which a non-bailable detention warrant was issued against her. 

• Accused of Being a Marriage Breaker
In an interview, the Indian actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi accused Preity of having a relationship with her ex-husband Shekhar Kapur.
