Top 10 Most Active Investors For Indian Startups In 2022

Compared to the total $37 billion raised by startups in the preceding three years, Indian startups raised more than $42 billion in 2021. Last year, over 42 new unicorns were created, and tech businesses raised more than $7.3 billion through IPOs. we have compiled a list of the most active investors who took part in startup fundraising in 2021 in this article.

2am VC

2am VC, which was established in early 2021 by Brendan Rogers and Hershel Mehta, specialises on funding early-stage entrepreneurs in India. The company makes investments in start-ups in a variety of industries, including media & entertainment, consumer services, edtech, fintech, healthtech, and ecommerce. A US-based venture capital firm stated in 2021 that it will invest $10 Mn in more than 50 firms in India. Additionally, the fund invested in 31 firms last year, including Invact Metaversity and Bimaplan.

Accel Ventures

Accel Partners was established in 1983 and has offices in Palo Alto, London, New York, China, and India. It often makes multi-stage investments in companies operating in industries including internet and consumer services, infrastructure, cloud-enabled services, mobile and software between $500k and $50 Mn. It took part in 74 deals last year.

Beenext 

A multinational venture capital company called Beenext makes investments in early-stage technology businesses in India, Southeast Asia, Japan, and the US. In 2020, it had committed more than half of the $110 million it had raised for its developing Asia fund to Indian businesses. It took part in over 26 fundraising transactions.

Chiratae Ventures 

A venture capital firm called Chiratae Ventures India Advisors has more than $700 million invested in over 80 firms in the consumer media and technology, cloud and software, healthtech, and fintech industries. It had invested in 27 businesses the previous year.

DSG Consumer Partners

DSG Consumer Partners, founded in 2012, invests in consumer brands and other companies in Southeast Asia and India. Up to this point, it has supported more than 60 companies. It took part in 12 deals for startup finance last year.

Endiya Partners 

Endiya Partners, founded by Sateesh Andra, Ramesh Byrapaneni, and Abhishek Srivastava, invests in businesses in the healthtech, enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, and other related areas for between $1 and $1.5 million for initial investments and between $4 and $5 million for follow-on rounds. Every year, it seeks to invest in 18 to 20 businesses. It made investments in 20 firms last year, among them Zluri, Upside AI, and SuperBeings.

Alpha Wave Global, formerly known as Falcon Edge, is a venture capital firm operating in a few regions, such as India and the United States. It has invested in unicorns like CRED and Mensa and has put more than $2 billion into the Indian startup sector. It supported entrepreneurs and took engaged in 19 investment transactions in 2021.

Goodwater Capital 

California-based In the past seven years, Goodwater Capital, a venture capital firm with more than $4 billion in assets under management, has made investments in over 12 unicorns. It mostly invests in companies in the social, educational, medical, housing, transportation, fintech, and business sectors.
