Kubera who is known as the Kuber of wealth . It is all because of the blessing by Lord Shiva which granted him the supremacy of being called as the God of wealth, despite of  intending to steal his temple. We all know that lord Kubera and goddess Lakshmi is worshipped in every Indian household .

There is a big concept in Indian mythology ,it is that Lakshmi is considered as the goddess of wealth on the other hand ,It is the Kuber who is the God of wealth while Lakshmi is the goddess of fortune as fortune is mostly spoken with wealth that's why the misbelieves has risen.

On the occasion of Dhanteras ,Kuber Puja is performed with the intention of receiving huge wealth and richness . Those who are involved in business and wants growth  or are facing financial issues must perform the pooja to attain prosperity and happiness. This pooja is done only once in a year and for this pooja Dhanteras is the most auspicious day.

He is also known as the keeper of wealth. Lord Kubera belonged to roots of Lord Brahma's family. He was born as the son of Vishrava and Illavida. Kubera's magic vehicle was known as Pushpaka Viman which was vanished from Lanka.
