The wedding bells have began ringing again in the Bollywood industry. And this time we have superstars Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s names on the wedding card. It won’t be wrong mentioning that the love life of Arjun Kapoor has been in limelight more than his professional life. From rumors of him dating Parineeti Chopra to his new love connection with Malaika, his love life never failed to hit the headlines. But the one relationship that kept him in the headlines for quite a while was with Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita Khan. The first and serious relationship of his life as Arjun calls it stirred many controversies in the industry.
The relationship between the two began way back in 2010 when the Ishqzaade actress was just 18-year-old and used to weigh approximately 140 kgs. The couple dated for almost 2 years and then gradually the romance between the two started getting sour.
The actor himself disclosed in an interview with the Bombay Times, that this was his first serious relationship ever that inspired him to go through an impressive transformation.
In the interview, Arjun also disclosed that Arpita dumped him whilst the filming of Salman Khan’s Salaam-e-namaste, where he was appointed as an assistant director.
The actor didn’t disclose the reason behind the break-up, but many media reports insisted that the reason behind Arjun and Arpita’s breakup was the closeness that grew between Malaika and Arjun.
The media reports suggested that Arjun used to visit Salman’s house often to meet Arpita, where he used to meet Malaika as well, and gradually got mesmerized by the beauty of Malaika.
When Arjun started dating Arpita, Malaika was still married to Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan. In fact, it was also heard that Malaika even gave the couple relationship advice from time to time. Gradually, Arjun began falling for Malaika, which lead to the former’s breakup.
Reports suggest that Arjun used to hang out at Arpita’s house even after their breakup. And that is when he started spending more time with Malaika & they ended up having a secret affair and this was deemed as the reason behind Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan‘s divorce. After that since both the actors were single, they’ve opened up about their relationship and fans already can’t get enough of their adorable romance.
